Sept 2011

The new pricing structure comes into effect from Monday 5th September and will result in a small increase (average 4%) on some basing products. See our pricing policy update for more details.

No new items for this update but those from the last update have proved quite popular ...

A new set of buildings - an ECW village in 1/300th scale. This set comes with printed scenic bases and enclosures so you can replace the buildings with troops occupying them.

A small range of WW2 posters in 3 sizes (for 6-10mm, 15mm & 25/8mm figures).

Sadly we are no longer able to accept cheques in payment for our goods as banks no longer guarantee them. If you do not wish to pay using PayPal then please telephone (number on the About Us page) and see if we can arrange some other method of payment.

There may be some delays in responding to orders during September/October as I'm having some building work done. It should only mean waiting a day or two extra while the worst of the chaos happens, if it is likely to be more I will let customers know.

July/Aug 2011

Two new items for this update :

A new set of buildings - an ECW village in 1/300th scale. This set comes with printed scenic bases and enclosures so you can replace the buildings with troops occupying them.

A small range of WW2 posters in 3 sizes (for 6-10mm, 15mm & 25/8mm figures).

I finally decided to re-structure all prices in September so my European customers will still get the old rates until I update the UK prices. See our pricing policy update for more details.

The new pricing structure will come into effect from Monday 5th September and will result in a small increase on most basing products.

TTT will be taking its annual summer break between 12th & 24th August this year. Orders arriving during this period will be dealt with on the 25th and posted out as soon as possible thereafter.

There may be some delays in responding to orders during the rest of August and possibly early September as I'm having some building work done. It should only mean waiting a day or two extra while the worst of the chaos happens, if it is likely to be more I will let customers know.

May/June 2011

Thanks to increased sales we have been able to reduce the price of our Flex-o-Metal sheets a small amount (from £4.85 to £4.30 for 2 sheets with other packs reduced by a similar proportion) by buying in greater bulk. Other basing products will continue with current UK prices until sometime in September but, thanks to the Royal Mail restructuring postage prices to Europe, European prices will be updated (increased mostly - sorry) during June. The packs will then be re-structured with a small increase (see our pricing policy update for more details) to reflect the large increase in postage by Royal Mail in April.

TTT will be at the PHALANX show in St Helens as usual on 18th June. We will have our full range of products with us (but only the more popular base sizes) but pre-orders by e-mail would be appreciated if you want a large amount of bases or basing materials or wish to pay for your order by PayPal in advance, as we are only able to take cash on the day. Please get any orders for collection at Phalanx to me by 12th June.

Apologies again to all customers waiting for new flag and building sets to appear. I have a number in the late stages of development but my RSI is still causing problems and severely restricting time I can spend on the computer to complete them. I'm hoping to have a few new items done in time for Phalanx.

April 2011

Not an update but just a note to say that TTT will be away from the office from Sunday 10th April until Wed 13th. All orders received during that period will be dealt with immediately on our return.

There will be an update soon but health issues have restricted time I can spend on the computer recently and all development has slowed to a crawl.

TTT are now stocking the newly re-issued Flight Bases by Mongoose Publishing. We were so impressed with them that we decided we had to add them to our other basing products.

In the next update there will be some additions to the galleries from recent commissions, some new card buildings and some news on prices (good news for a change).

February 2011

TTT are now stocking the newly re-issued Flight Bases by Mongoose Publishing. We were so impressed with them that we decided we had to add them to our other basing products.

They feature a ball & socket joint that allows removal of the model from the stand - which makes storage a lot easier and breakage far less likely.

We have them in packs of 5, 10 and 25 and with a choice of a 30mm circular base or a 50mm one. Each kit is made from transparent, tough styrene and comes with two posts to give optional heights as well.

In the next update there will be some additions to the galleries from recent commissions, some new card buildings and some news on prices (good news for a change).

December 2010

TTT will be closed for the Xmas break after 6pm on Saturday 18th December and will re-open for business on Tuesday January 4th. Last posting of basing products will be on Friday 17th so basing orders need to be in before the end of Thursday. Other items will be posted up until Monday 20th.

A few new items this time.

Initially requested by a customer and now available to all is a set of 1/1200th ship counters for the Peloponnesian Wars. These are reduced versions of our 1/600th ships and you get a whole fleet on one A5 sheet. If these prove popular I will convert the whole range to 1/1200th.

A new range of flags, again at the request of a customer. Our first Medieval range - for the 3rd Crusade. The available sheets are for 10mm figures but they contain a variety of sizes so might be suitable for smaller types of 15mm too. They include a range of lance pennons with national Crusader crosses and for Military Orders and 2 sheets of banners of various types and sizes.

Some new pictures of our card buildings on scenic bases have been added here, we've had these done since Phalanx in June but got around to pointing a camera at them at last.

Finally the promised updates to the small scale galleries have now been added here.

Late September 2010

The first sheets for some new naval ranges are now available. These cover the Armada period for England and Spain and are in 3 sizes - suitable for 1/2400, 1/1200 & 1/600 models. I still have some of the notes to complete but the flags and instruction sheets are now up for sale.

I have finally started to add some more pictures of commissions completed over the past months, there are still more to come but this will have to do for now.

The next new item will be sets of the Ancient ship counters in 1/1200 scale and, hopefully I'll get some of the ongoing card building projects done by then as well.

Sept 2010

As announced in July we have finally had to raise our prices on the basing ranges (as from 1st Sept). This is the first price rise since TTT started over 3 years ago and continually rising costs (particularly postage and packaging materials - both a big component in our costs) have now gone beyond the possibility of coping by making efficiency savings. The rise is between 7% and 8% over the range so not much different to inflation over the 3 years.

The postage and handling charge (payable once per order of flags, buildings and ship counters) has also increased from 75p to 90p but the prices of these products have not changed and we hope to hold the price of these ranges for at least another year or so.

Prices for other destinations will increase in line with UK prices and appropriate postal rates.

The first sheets in a new range of Naval flags should be available later this month. Most of the flags for the Armada set are completed but I still have to finish the notes and assembly instructions.

Aug 2010

The French 'Ancien Regime' flag range is at last in production after long delays. The range includes 160 different flags and is based on the flags carried during the 7 Years War but a large proportion of these are suitable for other 18C conflicts. As with all ranges, these are available in a range of sizes from 8mm to 18mm tall.

July 2010

TTT will be taking its annual summer break soon. Orders received after Friday 30th July will be dealt with on our return on Monday 16th August. A somewhat longer break than usual because we both turn 60 this year and are combining a trip to St Petersburg (I get to see the fortress and Mrs TTT gets a night at the ballet) with some family visiting.

The French Ancien Regime flags will be added to the site shortly after our return from holiday. They were completed a few weeks ago but I just haven't had time to get the web pages done yet.

Early Feb 2010

At last the next range of flags is ready - 1740-1806 Prussian Infantry. These are available in flag sizes from 6mm to 18mm tall and include all the regiments that served during the 7 Years War. Both single sheets and multi-sheet packs are available.

Progress on the next range is good and the Ancien Regime French Infantry should be available later this month and some more building sheets to follow in March.

A new 10mm Gallery has been added as well - some shots of a recent commission for the 1st Indo China War.

Jan 2010

From Monday 11th January 2010 all basing and magnetic products and publications will be sent out by 2nd class post (rather than 1st class as at present). All other products will continue to be sent 1st class. Prices to Europe will also be adjusted by then for the new postal rates that came in over the past year.

There will be a few adjustments to the list of 'standard' sized bases on offer. Some sizes that rarely sell will be removed and are adding some bases for the Impetus rules (120x80, 60 & 40mm). Any size of base can, however, still be ordered through our custom bases service.

Development of further flag and building ranges continues slowly but a backlog of painting commissions has meant that new releases have been only partly developed. I'm hoping to get some more ranges in production during the next two months so keep a lookout for news.

An apology to all customers who experienced delay in getting their orders after Xmas. Mostly it is probably due to the weather delaying the poor old postie but also because I was injured in a fall on the ice just before Xmas and have had to take it a bit easier than usual while I recover.

Dec 09

Sorry for the late posting of holiday dates but I've been distracted by real life for the last week or so. TTT is closed from 21st Dec until 5th January and any orders taken during that period will be posted out as soon as possible thereafter.

The last two increases in postage charges have reduced our profit margins but we found ways to cut other costs to avoid price increases. Unfortunately this can't continue much longer and we have to make some changes to restore margins. We have managed to keep prices stable now for over two years, despite increasing costs and, rather than increase our prices now, we have decided to start using 2nd Class postage instead.

August 09

The final two packs of Ancient Ship Counters are now available. AN5 is for the battle of Chios in 201BC - includes some larger ships (6's up to a 13) and a host of small Lembi. AN6 is for Actium in 31BC, the last battle of the era.

July 09

Two new packs have been added to our Ancient ship counters range. AN3 is a second Punic Wars pack with the Roman fleet equipped with Corvii and a modified Carthaginian fleet. AN4 has vessels for both sides for the battle of Cypriot Salamis in 306BC - the first big clash of the 'Age of the Polyreme'.

June 09

The first set of our 1/300th Card Buildings range is now available - Medieval/Renaissance. Available as a set of 4 sheets or as individual sheets.

The first two sets of our NEW Ship Counters range are also available, for the Peloponnesian Wars and the Punic Wars. Two Full fleets of 1/600th, full colour counters in each set at a very economical price.

Also the Buchannan's Rangers Instant Army has been reduced in price.

April 09

At last a new Instant Army. This one is a bit of a departure - a 6mm Science Fiction force called Bucannan's Rangers (aka The Dogbreath Dragoons).

A couple of updates to the painting Galleries - some of the new 3mm Oddizal Osmy Paratroops and aircraft in the 3mm WW2 gallery and more 6mm Sci-Fi.

Also some additions to the Resources section : 6mm Renaissance, 1/3000th Pre-Dreadnoughts and 3mm Sci-Fi

Late January 09

New base Combi-Packs now available. These contain our usual MDF bases PLUS a sheet of FlexMetal to store the based figures on - or you could use them to make movement trays.

New stock has at last come in of the basing card and the 1.6mm thick sheets are available again. Also we have added 1.8mm thick sheets to the range - just that bit sturdier than 1.6mm. The best news though is that these packs are now DOWN IN PRICE. Thanks to a good deal from my supplier and buying in bulk I can reduce these packs by £1 to £6.50 a pack, larger packs of 4 or 6 sheets are also now available.

January 09

A NEW range of flags, this time for the English Civil War. 40 different sheets in sizes from 6mm to 18mm. Comprehensive coverage of English Foot regiments.

December 08

New additions to our Austerlitz range of flags - 15mm & 18mm sizes for French, Austrians & Russians. 12 new sheets in sizes suitable for 15mm figures. Also some updated News on future ranges.

Some additions to the 20th C gallery too - some Great War figures from a recent commission.

October 08

The first of our NEW Flag ranges launched - 1805 Napoleonics for Austerlitz. More ranges will follow later this year and early 2009 - see here for progress on these forthcoming ranges.

September 08

More images of recent commissions added to the Galleries - new Gallery of 6mm Terrain & Scenics and additions to 3mm WW2, 6mm Horse & Musket and 10mm Horse & Musket

Some small production problems have delayed work on the flags but I'm still hoping to get the first range (which will be Napoleonics for Austerlitz) on sale in October with other ranges still in development before Xmas.

May 08

Magnetic backed card basing sheets and sheets of Flex-O-Metal and flexible Magnet have been added to our basing range. More details
